Fire cabinets
A fire cabinet is a metal box designed to store primary fire extinguishing agents and fire-fighting equipment. It is used for quick access to the necessary devices in the event of a fire.
The main elements placed in a fire cabinet:
Fire hose - for supplying water to the source of the fire.
Fire nozzle - a nozzle for directing the flow of water.
Shut-off and starting valves - a valve for connecting to the water supply system.
Fire extinguishers - for initial extinguishing of a fire.
Instructions for use - located on the inside of the cabinet door.
Types of fire cabinets:
Hanging - mounted on walls.
Built-in - installed inside walls or partitions.
Corner - to save space.
Fire cabinets are made of durable material, coated with anti-corrosion paint, and usually have a glass door for quick visual inspection. They are a mandatory part of fire safety systems at facilities
